Obituary

Mrs. Sylvia E. Ziegler, 81, of Providence, Ky passed away on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Shemwell’s Health Care.

She was born on December 10, 1939 in Benham, KY, the daughter of the late Mr. Kenneth Ray Day and Mrs. Rachel Caudill Day. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry in 2019, and her son, Bill in 2020.

Mrs. Ziegler was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church, United States Air Force veteran, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Kevin (Sandy) Ziegler of Providence; two sisters, Helen Ayers of Seymour, IN and Anna Ruth Michaels of Kurtz, IN; one brother Kenneth Major (Carol) Day of Texas; her grandchildren, Christopher Chad Crabtree, Charles Andrew (Amanda) Crabtree; Angela Paine, Sebastian Ziegler, and Jerry Brendel; two great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Tyler Crabtree.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 3, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Davis officiating with burial to follow in the Fox Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at the church.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, envelopes will be available at the church.
