Richard Earl McMican

Richard Earl McMican,70, of Providence passed away on Thursday August 11, 2022, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

Mr. McMican was born on September 15, 1951, in Madisonville, KY the son of the late Mr. Ericie McMican and Mrs. Beulah Imogene Cowan McMican. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Sue McMican on March 1, 2011, his sister, Thelma Raisor, his brother, Morris McMican, his great granddaughter, and a brother- in- law.

Mr. McMican was a US Army Viet Nam veteran, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing his yard, watching Gun Smoke, and spending time with family and friends, giving his grandchildren a hard time.

Mr. McMican is survived by his daughter, Thelma (Steve) Shelton of Providence; his sons, Richard McMican and his Fiance’ Christina Lutz, and Tim (Jennie) McMican both of Providence; three brothers, William (Brenda) McMican of Providence; Ronald David (Mary) McMican of Oklahoma; and Billy Carroll McMican of Hopkinsville, KY; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday August 17, 2022, in the Lucille Melton Memorial Chapel at Melton Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Fox Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the service hour on Wednesday August 17, 2022, at Melton Funeral Home.
