Mary Edith Crowell

Mary Edith Crowell,79, of Diamond passed away Monday October 17, 2022, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.

Mrs. Crowell was born on July 30, 1943, in Webster County, KY, the daughter of the late Mr. Clint Lamb and Mrs. Edith Hopper Lamb. She is preceded in death by her husband Sammy on November 8, 2020, her daughter Kathy Averill on February 21, 2020.

Mrs. Crowell is a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church but attended Diamond Missionary Baptist Church, graduated from Providence High School, she was a retired dispatcher from the Providence EMS, she was a room mother for her kid’s classes, she enjoyed bowling, teaching crafts during bible school, and crocheting.

Mrs. Crowell is survived by her daughters, Debra Garrett of Diamond, KY; Jessica Brooks of Henderson, KY; LaDonna (Rodney) McClure of Onton, KY; grandchildren, Terina Langston, Clinton Campbell, Robert Bussing, and Jonathon Norman; great grandchildren, Zoey Alexis Langston, Darrian Louis Langston, Bentley Tyler Campbell, Kinslee Isabell Campbell, Kylee McClure, Jamee McClure, Samantha Brooks, Waylon Bussing, her great great grandson, Mathias House.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday October 21, 2022, in the Lucille Melton Memorial Chapel at Melton Funeral Home with Bro. Micah Kelley officiating with burial to follow in White Oak Cemetery near Clay.

Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 7:00PM on Thursday October 20, 2022, at Melton Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to Saint Anthony’s Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
