David Wayne Russell

David Wayne Russell,54, of Providence passed away at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson on June 10, 2022.

David was born in Madisonville, KY on December 6, 1967, the son of Barry “Bear” Russell and Marilyn McGuyer Russell.

David was preceded in death by his dad Barry “Bear” Russell in 2016.

David was a member of the Providence General Baptist Church, He worked in his families business Russell’s Service Station for 35 years in Providence, he was an avid musician, he was an automotive consulting engineer in his spare time at Hudson’s Service Station in Providence, he worked at Advance Auto Parts in Madisonville.

He is survived by wife of 29 years, Cheri of Providence; his mother, Marilyn Russell of Providence; two daughters, DeAnn (Brandon) Sneed of Madisonville; Katie Russell of Madisonville; one son, Jon (Clara) Russell of Providence; his sister, Barrie (Harold) Wilkerson of Providence; brother, Steve (Leesa) Russell of Poole; grandchildren, Lucy Elaine Short, Riley Sample, Conner Caskey, Logan Sneed, and Kaylie Russell.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2022, at 1:00PM in the chapel at Melton Funeral Home with Bro. Kim Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2022, from 9:00AM until the service hour at Melton Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Sneed, Jon Russell, Harold Wilkerson, Steve Russell, Mark Hudson, and Jody Anderson.

Memorial contributions can be made to Saint Anthony’s Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
