David Frederick Obituary

David Cole Frederick,80, of Providence, KY passed away on Sunday March 31, 2024, at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY.

Mr. Frederick was born on July 26, 1943, in Providence, KY the son of the late Mr. Theodore Hampton Frederick and Mrs. Elizabeth Ruth Hall Frederick.

Mr. Frederick was of the Baptist faith, he served his country in the US Army during Vietnam, he was a retired coal miner after 27 years where he worked at the Island Creek Coal Co. Ohio #11 mine, he enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, and was a KY Colonel.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara of Providence, KY; his sons, Johnny (Connie) Orange of Anton, KY; Jason (Sarah) of Hanson, KY, three sisters, Esther Frederick of Robards, KY; Michael (Doris) Stone of Dixon, KY; Terrye Phillips of Eddyville, KY; two brothers, Theodore (Marilyn) Frederick of Buffton, SC; and Keith Frederick of Providence, KY; his grandchildren, Derek (Morgan) Orange of Crofton, KY; Connor Orange of Louisville, KY; Medow aka Olive Orange of Hanson, KY.anson

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Melton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
